Many Shades of Brown book club is open to African American sistahs who not only enjoy and appreciate Black literature, but also understand its value and importance to our Community. We will meet once a month, excluding December, to socialize (drink and dine) and discuss our monthly selection. Saturday Drum Workshops--playing and learning West African rhythms-free .....supported in part by the City of McKinney Arts Commission....but it is really an opportunity to play the rhthyms that were started in Guinea, West Africa. We share the rhthyms and then play..great fun excellent way to learn the djembe and dunduns..some drums available. Anyone with a heartbeat can play these drums....I guess that's you...dancers welcome.
